Oriol Romeu returned to his homeland last summer after a long spell in England. His first foray into the Premier League came with Chelsea, where he could not become a regular. But the 31-year-old found a stable footing after moving to Southampton, where he spent seven years. And he joined Girona in the early stages of the 2022/23 season.
The cultured Spanish midfielder has made 34 appearances thus far for Girona while chipping in with two goals.
