Tottenham want £120 million to sell Harry Kane as the 29-year-old’s future hangs on uncertain terms, while Bayern Munich remain in the hunt.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham value Harry Kane at £120 million, nearly double Bayern Munich’s latest bid. Daniel Levy remains confident of keeping the 29-year-old talisman and hopes the nine-figure price will keep suitors at bay.

Daniel Levy can sometimes puzzle everyone with his decision, although over the years, he has been able to get the best deals for the club. Harry Kane finds himself at the crossroads of making a firm career decision, which will see him give up on the dream of catching Alan Shearer as the Premier League’s record goalscorer.

After a period of avoiding interest from domestic rivals such as Manchester United, Levy remains firm on his stance regarding the 29-year-old talisman. As per the report, he will not sell at the current going rate and wants £120 million.

In truth, Levy could see keeping Kane for the club’s sake. He will feel the 29-year-old gives them a good chance to finish in the top four, which will become more valuable than selling him for Bayern Munich’s latest offer. Hence, slapping a nine-figure price makes sense from Spurs’ point of view.

Bayern made a second bid worth £68.5 million, which Tottenham do not plan to accept. Instead, their asking price is nearly double what the Bavarians have offered. The Bundesliga champions have been in touch with Kane’s entourage and will want assurances of his commitment to the transfer before leaving.

Bayern plan to return in January when they feel Levy could be persuaded if the right money comes in. Otherwise, Kane could leave on a free transfer next summer when his transfer expires. Kane is already set for showdown talks with the new manager, but Ange Postecoglu has no powers in a transfer call for the 29-year-old talisman.

Tottenham have reportedly made a bumper contract offer, which would substantially improve his current £250,000-a-week package. Overall, a decision will remain with Kane depending on how he sees the club progressing. He could remain at the club by penning new terms, which remains a possibility.

As for Bayern, they will know that other English sides like Manchester United and Chelsea could snap him up next summer, which reduces their chances. Hence, they want to persuade Levy over a deal now, but it will depend on how far they will move up with the money involved.
