Tottenham Hotspur are all set to reject Bayern Munich’s second bid worth €80 million for the services of Harry Kane.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur are all set to reject another bid from Bayern Munich for the services of Harry Kane. The Bundesliga giants are yet to replace Robert Lewandowski who left for Barcelona last summer, and they are keen on having Kane in their ranks to fill the void left by the Polish international. They offered €80 million for the 29-year-old striker.
Bayern Munich did not have the best of seasons last time out. There was a lot going on in the background. And as far as things on the pitch are concerned, they struggled to cope with the absence of their star striker Robert Lewandowski who had left the club to join Barcelona.
The Bundesliga champions have finally decided to go big for a new number nine and have their eyes set on Harry Kane. The 29-year-old Tottenham striker is amongst the best in the world. He has been in exceptional form over the past few seasons, and they believe he could do wonders for them.
Meanwhile, his contract with the North London club runs out in the summer of 2024. While Tottenham have put forward a new lucrative deal, the 29-year-old is in no rush to extend his stay at the club. The England international is keen on having all his options open, and he is ready to make a switch in the ongoing summer if he feels right.

According to reports, Kane already has an agreement in principle with the Bundesliga champions. With personal terms almost agreed, Bayern Munich have been looking to push for an agreement with the club.
The Bavarian giants had submitted an initial bid of around €70 million a few weeks back But Tottenham almost immediately rejected the offer. After pondering over what the right fee could be, the German giants have recently put forward another proposal of €80 million.
But, according to Romano, even €80 million will do no good for Bayern Munich’s cause. People close to Tottenham are sure that this price is not good enough. While the second bid is all set to be rejected, the German club are still keen on having the 29-year-old in their ranks, and they still hope to make progress on this deal.
