Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur for weeks now, with Bayern Munich keen.

Harry Kane is in the final year of his contract, and he will look to move on to a bigger club where he can challenge for major trophies. And Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Bayern Munich have submitted an improved bid to sign the 29-year-old. The new offer is worth €80 million, exclusive of add-ons.

The Bundesliga champions recently had an offer knocked back for the 29-year-old striker, and they have offered €80 million now. The Englishman is in the final year of his contract, and Tottenham will be under pressure to sell him. They cannot afford to lose someone like him as a free agent.

So it makes sense to accept a substantial offer of around €80 million this summer. But Daniel Levy is notorious for driving a hard bargain. And he has already gotten the better of Manchester City in the battle for Kane’s services.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are proven winners and they will challenge for major trophies every season. Joining them would allow the player to win some trophies during his peak years. The 29-year-old is yet to win a single trophy at club level. Furthermore, Tottenham have missed out on the Champions League, and a player of his quality will want to compete at the highest level.

The North London giants are likely to go through a rebuild now under the new manager, and Kane might fancy joining an established squad, capable of winning trophies right now. The player has been linked with Manchester United in the past as well. And it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

There is no doubt that the England international is one of the best players in the world, and he has proven himself in the Premier League over the years. He could be a superb acquisition for most teams in the world. Meanwhile, personal terms will not be an issue for the 29-year-old, who wants to join Bayern.

Bayern Munich struggled in the attack last season and they have not been able to replace Robert Lewandowski yet. Signing Kane will certainly improve them immensely and the 29-year-old could sort out their goalscoring problems. Despite winning the league title, the German champions were quite underwhelming last season. So they will look to come back stronger next year.
