Harry Kane is all set to hold talks with Tottenham Hotspur’s new manager Ange Postecoglou as he looks to make a decision regarding his future.
According to The Times, Harry Kane is all set to meet Tottenham Hotspur’s new boss Ange Postecoglou for the first time next week. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy along with the Australian manager will look to convince the England international about their new project that begins with the start of the pre-season.
Kane is currently on holiday and is all set to return to training early next week. The 29-year-old is yet to have a conversation with the Australian manager who has already taken charge. Kane’s discussion with the new boss might have a huge say on his future.
The England international’s future has been the talk of the town for a while now. Kane is amongst the best forwards in world football and there is a lot of interest in his services.
His contract runs out in a year’s time and quite a few clubs are looking to sign the 29-year-old. Meanwhile, Spurs have offered him a new lucrative deal as they look to extend the stay of their all-time top scorer.
Kane currently earns £200,000 a week and the new deal could see him earn around £300,000 a week depending on bonuses. While it is quite a significant hike, the England international is in no rush to pen down a deal.
He has all the cards in his hands with his current deal expiring in 12 months’ time. The 29-year-old could leave as a free agent next year and join any club of his choice. And, he could even sign an extension but that might depend on the kind of conversation he has with Postecoglou and the project at hand.
Meanwhile, there is a lot of interest from Bayern Munich in his services. According to reports, the German giants already have a verbal agreement in place with the player. Their first bid has been rejected by Spurs and they are planning to submit an improved offer in the coming days.
