Barcelona will look to officially sign Ilkay Gundogan from Premier League champions Manchester City after the UEFA Champions League final.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona will aim to complete the deal for Ilkay Gundogan soon. The newly-crowned La Liga champions want to secure the German international’s signature after the UEFA Champions League final. And they do not want to waste until the Manchester City captain joins Die Mannschaft for the international games.

Ilkay Gundogan has established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League since joining Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund. The 32-year-old arrived at the Etihad with an excellent reputation. And he has gone a long way to bolster his stock, with his stature rising with every passing season.

The German international has enjoyed an excellent 2022/23 season, chipping in with 11 goals and seven assists in 50 appearances. But Gundogan’s Manchester City contract will run out in a few days. And the situation surrounding the multi-time Premier League winner has captured the attention of Barcelona.

The Manchester City captain has been on Barcelona’s radar for a long time. And recent reports have claimed that the Catalan giants have secured a verbal agreement with the player over a possible Bosman move. The interest in the veteran midfielder makes a world of sense.

The latest update has more information, with Barcelona keen on finalising the deal for the multi-time Premier League winner. And they want to officiate the agreement after the UEFA Champions League final.

Make it quick and also sign kimmich or zubimend to replace buz or if possible Land Rodri and then look for a left winger and right full back
