Manchester City have reportedly enquired about Neymar’s availability, as Pep Guardiola ponders bringing the Brazilian.

According to L’Equipe, Manchester City are reportedly keen on signing Neymar. The Premier League champions have enquired about the 18-goal Brazilian, with other English sides also keen. Pep Guardiola may think about signing the superstar but remains content with his attacking options.

An incredible season for Mancheste City could still get better. After winning the Premier League title, they could complete the ‘treble’ by winning the Champions League and FA Cup. Pep Guardiola has relied upon his attacking options, who have been prolific, for their tremendous campaign.

Erling Haaland has already broken the Premier League goalscoring record, becoming a solid outlet for Man City’s wide attackers. Guardiola may not need any more firepower than he has unless one of his current stars departs.

Riyad Mahrez seems suspect of a departure after a somewhat subdued role this season. Yet, the Algerian has been a solid part of Guardiola’s plans. In any case, Manchester City are now interested in 18-goal Manchester United and Chelsea target Neymar.

The Brazilian has endured a torrid time in Paris lately. From troubling supporters to Paris Saint-Germanin reportedly wanting to wash their hands of the attacker, there’s a solid possibility for Neymar to depart. His astronomical wages may prove a stumbling block for the French side in their attempts to sell, but the interest is there.

Guardiola’s side have reportedly enquired about Neymar and may ponder making a move. They can also pay huge salaries but will look to cough up a reduced transfer fee. They may also have to thwart rival interest in the 18-goal Manchester United and Chelsea target.

Todd Boehly is reportedly obsessed with Neymar and wants to bring the Brazilian superstar to Stamford Bridge. This may come across as a tough operation on multiple fronts, but the American owner is known to make things happen since taking over the Blues.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have made contacts, possibly with intermediaries, to understand the details of the operation. The two Premier League sides could make their interest concrete with a firm approach. Man City will likely come into this chase as favourites, but the Brazilian will have plenty of options.

For now, it may appear that Guardiola is content with his attacking options. However, if the opportunity arises to make a marquee signing like Neymar, they might open their chequebook for that.
