Bayer Leverkusen will reportedly prioritise signing 21-year-old Moroccan prospect Ez Abde from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by French outlet Foot Mercato, Ez Abde is a priority target for Bayer Leverkusen heading into the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old attacking prospect might leave Barcelona in the summer transfer window. And a move to the Bundesliga might be on the cards for the youngster.

Abde Ezzalzouli, better known as Ez Abde, is still waiting for his Barcelona breakthrough. The Moroccan international has been with the Blaugrana since August 2021. But while he made a few appearances for Barcelona in the 2021/22 season, his stock fell in the second half of the campaign.

The 21-year-old has been with Osasuna in the ongoing season and has made solid progress this term. The youngster has made 31 appearances for Osasuna this season, chipping in with six goals and two assists. And Abde’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen.

The German heavyweights have made considerable progress under the tutelage of Xabi Alonso. And even though Bayer Leverkusen will miss out on UEFA Champions League qualification, they have shown positive signs in the last few months. So the Bundesliga club will back Alonso in the summer transfer window.

The Bundesliga giants will likely lose two wingers in the summer transfer window. One of them will be Callum Hudson-Odoi, who has failed to stamp his authority at Bayer Leverkusen this season. But Alonso and Die Werkself will have more concerns surrounding Moussa Diaby, a target for several Premier League clubs.

Diaby’s departure will leave a gaping hole in the Bayer Leverkusen attack. So it is hardly surprising that the Bundesliga giants have set their sights on Ez Abde. And the report claims that the 21-year-old Barcelona prospect is a priority target for the German outfit heading into the summer transfer window.
