Aston Villa could push for the services of 30-year-old Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku in the upcoming transfer window.

According to Fichajes, Aston Villa are interested in having Romelu Lukaku in their ranks. The 30-year-old forward’s future is uncertain at this point in time, and he is likely to be available in the upcoming transfer window. Meanwhile, Villa plan on bolstering their attack, and they have Lukaku as a potential target.

Lukaku took the world by storm while playing for Inter Milan from 2019 to 2021. His performances forced Chelsea to break the bank and bring him back to the club. However, his return did not go according to plan as the 30-year-old failed to fire.

After his return to England ahead of the 2021/22 season, Lukaku featured in 44 matches and could only manage 17 goal contributions. His disappointing run forced Chelsea to loan him out ahead of the ongoing season. The Belgian international is currently on loan at Inter Milan. He has been involved in 33 matches and has 19 goal involvements.

While he has done okay, Inter might not push to make his move permanent, and he is likely to return to his parent club Chelsea. Meanwhile, the Blues are looking to sign a world-class forward ahead of the next season. They do not count on Lukaku and will look to offload him in the summer. Even the player is not keen on returning to Chelsea.
