Barcelona will soon present the final proposal to sign Sofyan Amrabat from Serie A club Fiorentina, with the base price being worth €25 million.

According to a report by Spanish outlet SPORT, Sofyan Amrabat is the top target to replace Sergio Busquets. But Barcelona will not go beyond a certain point to secure the services of the Fiorentina midfielder. And the Blaugrana will present the final bid, worth €25 million, to the Serie A outfit.

Sofyan Amrabat has seen his stock skyrocket since joining Fiorentina from Hellas Verona in January 2020. He initially returned to Verona for a loan move until the end of the 2020/21 season. But the Moroccan international has become a pivotal figure for his club and country in the last three years.

The 26-year-old was sensational as Morocco became the first African nation to reach the FIFA World Cup semi-finals. As for Amrabat’s stint with Fiorentina, he has turned out over 100 times thus far, chipping in with one goal and one assist. Meanwhile, the player’s progress has captured the attention of several top clubs, including Barcelona.

Barcelona made a late attempt to sign Amrabat in the January transfer window. But a move did not materialise, with the Blaugrana being short of funds to land the Moroccan midfielder. However, the interest in the player remains, with Barcelona eyeing him as a priority target for the summer.

But signing Amrabat will not be straightforward, with Fiorentina slapping a high price tag on him. And with Barcelona having financial roadblocks in front of them, a summer move will be difficult to execute. But they are ready to present their final offer to the Serie A club for the 26-year-old.

Barcelona will offer a base fee of €25 million to secure Amrabat’s services in the summer transfer window. But it is unclear if Fiorentina will be open to accepting such a proposal from Barcelona. That might leave the Blaugrana in a spot of bother as they look to land a successor to Busquets.

The Moroccan international reportedly dreams of joining Barcelona. And after pushing to join the Catalan club in January, he will likely force a move to Spotify Camp Nou again. But it will be interesting to see if the two clubs can seal an agreement over a summer deal once the Catalan giants offer €25 million to secure his services.
