Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in 24-year-old Real Madrid ace Andriy Lunin.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Andriy Lunin might have a future in Bundesliga. Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund are interested in the 24-year-old Real Madrid ace. And the frustrated goalkeeper might depart from the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer transfer window.

Andriy Lunin spent his formative years in his homeland before rising to prominence at Zorya Luhansk. The Ukrainian international joined Real Madrid in July 2018, hoping to take his career to the next level. But he has been Thibaut Courtois’s understudy at Real Madrid in the last half a decade.

Loan stints with CD Leganes, Real Valladolid, and Real Oviedo have not helped his case either. But 2022/23 has been a better season for Lunin, who has turned out 12 times thus far this term, keeping four clean sheets. But the 24-year-old is frustrated with his lack of game time and might leave Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

Recent reports have claimed that Lunin is ready to leave Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. And the 24-year-old does not have a shortage of suitors, with Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund keen on signing him ahead of the 2023/24 season.

At Bayer Leverkusen, Lukas Hradecky is on the wrong side of 30. And despite performing at a high level, it behoves the Bundesliga outfit to scour the market for a long-term successor. Andriy Lunin has thus emerged as a viable target for Die Werkself as they lay down the plan for the summer transfer window.

As for Borussia Dortmund, Gregor Kobel faces an uncertain future at Signal Iduna Park. And the Swiss goalkeeper has captured the attention of Chelsea and Manchester United. So the Bundesliga giants need to search for a world-class replacement. And 24-year-old Real Madrid ace Lunin has emerged as a candidate to replace Kobel this summer.

Meanwhile, it is unclear if Real Madrid will be open to cashing in on Lunin in the summer transfer window. For now, Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund have joined the race to sign the 24-year-old Ukrainian goalkeeper.
