Tottenham have agreed to sign Ipswich Town’s 16-year-old defensive prodigy Calum Logan, who will join their academy ranks.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham have agreed on a deal to sign Calum Logan. The 16-year-old defensive prodigy from Ipswich Town will join Spurs’ academy ranks as the north Londoners continue their drive to recruit the best youngsters in English football.

Tottenham may have several problems at the Premier League level, but they are certainly a club on the rise. Not only are they staking a claim to a top-four race regularly, but Spurs are also producing some of the brightest talents through their academy.

In recent years, Spurs have developed the Hotspur Way academy to produce talents capable of breaking through Premier League ranks. The promotions of Japhet Tanganga, Oliver Skipp, Dane Scarlett and Troy Parrot to first-team ranks are a testament to their hard work in the background.

Tottenham hopes to produce many more players capable of breaking into their first team setup in the future. They were also keen on Birmingham City’s Rico Browne. Spurs have now signed the youngster by beating off competition from Manchester United.

They also have reportedly agreed on a deal with Man City youngster Herbie James and have now signed Calum Logan from Ipswich Town. There’s an agreement in place with the 16-year-old defensive prodigy to join their academy ranks.

Tottenham have reportedly been interested in Logan for quite a while. Now, they have successfully secured one of the highest-rated talents from around. They had to compete with several top sides for the Ipswich youngster but were able to convince him about their project.

Logan was reportedly spotted at Hotspur Way Academy as he came in to sign the paperwork on a Scholarship deal. If he progresses as expected, the 16-year-old defensive prodigy could soon sign professional terms once he turns 17. He could then stake his claim towards a first-team spot in the future.

With Logan, Spurs can look to bring him and others to the Premier League in the future. He will undoubtedly bring quality to their academy ranks, but there’s much hard work ahead for the 16-year-old star.

    it dosent always work out thinking that they are going to be in totenhams ist team he might be a lot better of with ipswich there is no end dont make it you look at are youth side years ago that won the youth cup how many made the ist team ? i have been watching ipswich since 61 62 ist div championship win
