Manchester United are ready to rekindle their interest and make a move for free agent Adrien Rabiot in the summer.

According to Tutto Juve, Manchester United are ready to take steps towards signing Adrien Rabiot in the summer. The Red Devils narrowly missed out on the French midfielder last summer but are ready to pounce on the opportunity of a free transfer for the Juventus star.

Juventus were practically ready to let go of Adrien Rabiot last summer and cut a surprising look when Manchester United offered them a decent transfer fee. The Italian giants, at that point, were tired of the inconsistent performer and were willing to cut their losses.

Manchester United came very close to signing the 27-year-old World Cup finalist then. But demands from the player side may have scuppered a move. The midfielder has since performed at his very best and was labelled the best midfielder in Serie A this season.

Juventus are rueing their decisions with Rabiot after watching his rise this term. Despite claims of a renewal offer, they are resigned to losing the player on a free transfer in the summer. Premier League clubs are keen on the 27-year-old World Cup finalist, including Manchester United.

Liverpool were also linked with a move for Rabiot. But Manchester United could look to race away with the lead. Erik ten Hag remains open to signing a midfielder who can contribute with goals, and the Frenchman certainly fits the bill.

Manchester United are now ready to take the next steps to ensure they have the upper hand in the chase. They could look to clear up the previous misunderstandings and bring the 27-year-old World Cup finalist to Old Trafford.

There is no clarity on whether Rabiot would prefer a move to Manchester United or the Premier League. If reports are true, he will have plenty of offers from many clubs, including Barcelona. However, the prospect of playing in England could entice the midfielder, who might evaluate the options available in the summer.

Manchester United will push if ten Hag remains keen to revive his interest. The Dutchman wanted the 27-year-old last summer. And this time out, he will become available on a free transfer.
