Premier League clubs Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in securing the services of Adrien Rabiot.
According to a report by 90min, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are tracking Adrien Rabiot. The Premier League clubs are keeping a close eye on the Frenchman’s contract situation at Juventus.
Rabiot’s current contract at the Serie A club ends in the summer. The World Cup finalist is all set to be a free agent in a few months’ time. And, interest in his services from across Europe is quite understandable.
The 27-year-old had a sensational campaign at FIFA World Cup 2022. He was one of France’s most important players in the global event as they made it to the final. The Juventus midfielder made sure that the team did not feel the absence of star players who were ruled out of the tournament.
It was not just the World Cup where he showcased his mettle. The French midfielder has been performing on a consistent basis for the past couple of years. Rabiot came through the ranks at Paris Saint-Germain and became a crucial player at the club.
Eventually, he fell out of favour and when his contract ran out, he joined Juventus in the summer of 2019. Initially, life in Turin was tough for the 27-year-old. But he has gone from strength to strength. And currently, he is one of their most important players.
He is set to be a free agent in a few months’ time. While Juventus are trying their best to pen a new deal with the French midfielder, they have not tasted success yet. Premier League clubs have their eyes on the French international. And even he has expressed his interest in playing in England back in the day.
Rabiot said: “I have always said that I’d like to play in England in my career. I still have that desire. I’d like to evolve in the Premier League.”
Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham are interested in having the 27-year-old in their ranks. Erik ten Hag has done a great job at Old Trafford. But, he wants further reinforcement to take the club to the next level. Ten Hag admires the Frenchman and is keen on having him at the club.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have struggled this term. They have not been at their best all season long. The midfield has been a big concern for the German manager, and he is looking for a complete overhaul. Adding Rabiot to his squad for free will surely solve a few major issues.
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Liverpool will have to compete with Tottenham as well. Spurs are also tracking the France World Cup finalist.
