According to a report by Spanish outlet SPORT, Ruben Neves will unlikely join Barcelona in the summer transfer window. The Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder looks set to remain in the Premier League. And Chelsea and Manchester United are among the suitors for the 26-year-old.
Ruben Neves has come leaps and bounds since joining Wolverhampton Wanderers from FC Porto. The Portuguese international was a highly-rated prospect when he arrived in England. And he has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League in the last half a dozen years.
The 26-year-old has made nearly 250 appearances for the Black Country outfit, chipping in with 29 goals and 12 assists. But Neves will enter the final 12 months of his contract in the summer. And such a situation has captured the attention of Chelsea and Manchester United. Widespread reports had also linked him with Barcelona.
Intermediaries recently offered Barcelona the chance to sign Neves in the summer transfer window. Reports also claimed that the Blaugrana might be best placed to secure the services of the Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder. But Barcelona will not launch the offensive for him, ruling out a summer swoop of the 26-year-old.
