Chelsea and Newcastle United are interested in Juventus’s 19-year-old winger Samuel Iling-Junior after his breakthrough in Turin.
According to 90min, Chelsea and Newcastle United are among the clubs keen on Samuel Iling-Junior. The 19-year-old Serie A winger has impressed during a mini-breakthrough season, as suitors from England take notice. The Serie A giants could sell him to ease their financial troubles.
Samuel Iling-Junior was a highly-rated prospect while coming through the youth system at Chelsea. Having spent nearly nine years with the Cobham Academy, the young prospect moved to Juventus’s youth setup for a modest fee of around €130,000.
He has made the grade from Juventus’s youth teams into the first team. Massimiliano Allegri has integrated many young players into the first team setup, including Iling-Junior. The other names are Fabio Miretti, Matias Soule and Nicolo Fagioli.
As for Iling-Junior, he has featured eleven times for the senior team this season across all competitions. His direct approach and burst of energy impressed the fans. While Juventus would love to nurture and develop him into a notable star, their financial state might affect his future.
