Real Madrid might soon submit an offer to sign Erling Haaland from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by The Independent, Erling Haaland remains on the radar of Real Madrid. And the reigning La Liga champions are considering making an audacious offer for the Norwegian striker. But Manchester City will unlikely entertain any bids for the youngster, whose market value is now in nine figures.

Erling Haaland has gone from strength to strength since rising in prominence in the 2019/20 season. The 22-year-old has not looked back since his breakthrough campaign, stamping his authority in the Bundesliga, Premier League, and UEFA Champions League. And he has been sensational following his move to Manchester City last summer.

The Norwegian striker has been almost unstoppable thus far this season. And he has managed an excellent tally of 33 goals and five assists in 34 appearances across all competitions. Haaland’s market value has also risen to nine figures (€170 million). At the same time, the player’s progress has captured the attention of Real Madrid.

The Manchester City striker was a target for Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. But a move did not materialise due to Karim Benzema’s sensational form. However, Los Blancos might be ruing not launching the offensive for the 22-year-old, considering Benzema’s fitness issues this term.

The Real Madrid captain has struggled to overcome his injury woes in the last few months. And with Mariano Diaz likely to leave in the summer, it behoves Los Blancos to sign a competitor to Benzema. The said player can initially compete with the veteran Frenchman before taking over as the first-choice striker. And widespread reports have suggested have linked them with Haaland.

The reigning La Liga champions have been monitoring Haaland’s situation amid Manchester City’s off-field controversy. And according to Miguel Delaney, the Merengues are considering submitting an audacious bid for the player. But the Premier League champions will unlikely entertain any offers for their prized asset.

The Norwegian striker, who already has 33 goals this season and will score more in the coming months, is well-settled at the Etihad. And despite the lure of playing for Real Madrid, a summer move seems unlikely for Haaland.
