Crystal Palace have joined the race to sign 25-year-old Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka ahead of next season.

According to Football Insider, Crystal Palace are interested in re-signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The 25-year-old Manchester United full-back is looking for a move away from the club. And, he might return to his former club ahead of next season.

Ever since the arrival of Erik ten Hag at Manchester United, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has fallen down the pecking order. The former Crystal Palace full-back is no longer the first-choice right-back. And, he is looking to move on from the club in the summer.

Despite getting an extended run in the last few fixtures, Wan-Bissaka is not really happy being the second choice. The 25-year-old has started most of Manchester United’s games since the World Cup break ended. But, Diogo Dalot’s return from injury saw him return to the bench for the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

Dalot is all set to sign a new long-term deal with the club. He is expected to be their first choice for a while. Meanwhile, ten Hag is keen on signing a new right-back in the summer. He wants to add another attacking full-back.

Manchester United are interested in signing 22-year-old Bayer Leverkusen full-back Jeremie Frimpong. The Red Devils are willing to spend £40-50 million on the youngster who has been on fire in the ongoing season.

It is pretty much clear that ten Hag wants to have attack-minded full-backs. As a result, Wan-Bissaka might not stand a chance to be United’s first-choice right-back anytime soon. The 25-year-old’s contract at Manchester ends in the summer of 2024. And the Red Devils have the option to extend it by 12 months. However, he might push for a move in the summer.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are very keen on bringing Aaron Wan-Bissaka back to the club. The 25-year-old was a part of the Eagles since his childhood days. He came up through the ranks before making a move to Manchester United.

The Eagles are currently 12th in the Premier League and are almost certain to survive relegation. Patrick Vieira has done a decent job at Palace so far. But he is keen on more defensive stability and would love to have Wan-Bissaka in his ranks.

The return of the 25-year-old will bolster their defence and allow Vieira more flexibility on the right-hand side. However, it won’t be that easy a task to sign him back from Manchester United. They will have to pay a decent amount. And, Crystal Palace will also have to fight it out with other clubs who have shown interest in his services.
