Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is considering a move away from Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, and he is considering his future at Manchester United, according to a report from Football Insider. The former Crystal Palace defender is no longer the first-choice right-back at the club. And Portuguese international Diogo Dalot is ahead of him in the pecking order.

The 25-year-old needs to play regularly at this stage of his career. And it seems that Manchester United cannot provide him with that platform. It makes sense for him to move on and join a club where he will get to play week in and week out.

The former Crystal Palace defender was highly rated during his time at Selhurst Park. But the £50 million move to Manchester United has not worked out for him. Although Wan-Bissaka remains a reliable defender, he offers very little going forward and is simply not good enough to start as a right-back for an elite European club.

Diogo Dalot has a far more balanced skill set compared to the former Crystal Palace defender. And the Portuguese international is likely to be the first-choice right-back at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future.

That said, Wan-Bissaka could prove to be a quality acquisition for several Premier League clubs and it remains to be seen where he ends up. There is unlikely to be any shortage of interest in the 25-year-old defender. Recent reports have linked the 25-year-old with West Ham United.

Manchester United paid a fee of around £50 million for his services. And the Red Devils will be looking to recoup most of that if they are to sell him at the end of the season.

Manchester United have improved considerably this season, and they are currently outsiders in the title race. Furthermore, they are well-placed to secure UEFA Champions League qualification and win a domestic trophy. Erik ten Hag will be hoping to build on his impressive debut season and challenge for the major trophies next season.

The Red Devils must look to improve their squad and add more depth in order for that to happen. It is high time Manchester United look to get rid of fringe players like Wan-Bissaka and bring in players who can make an immediate impact on the first team.
