Tottenham Hotspur have many important decisions to make in the transfer market when the season ends. For starters, there is the impending question about Antonio Conte’s future. And irrespective of who manages the club, they will need several players in important positions.

Defenders and midfielders are key to their success next season, and Tottenham will go in for a few notable names in the summer. Meanwhile, there is a glaring need for a new goalkeeper, with Tottenham likely to go for a young but experienced player for the long term.

The club, and particularly Conte, who has lost faith in Hugo Lloris. The World Cup-winning Frenchman has been their No.1 for over a decade, and replacing him will prove difficult. Many notable options are under consideration, with most of those Premier League established stars.

Illan Meslier is among those seen as a viable replacement for Lloris, but the Frenchman has plenty of suitors in the market. Tottenham would have preferred to sign the Leeds United star, but they will have to pay a huge transfer fee, mainly if the Yorkshire side avoids relegation.

Sevilla’s Yassine Bounou is also an option, but reports suggest Spurs have agreed on a deal for 24-year-old goalkeeper Altay Bayindir. The Fenerbahce star’s contract expires in the summer, meaning, Tottenham will have signed a talented, young keeper.

Bayindir is one of the top talents coming out of Turkey, where he’s a regular for Fenerbahce. He also takes steady strides toward becoming the No.1 for the national side, and hence Spurs will consider him as a direct replacement for Lloris.

In the initial season, the 24-year-old goalkeeper could play understudy to the veteran goalkeeper. He could become their undisputed No.1 for years to come if he succeeds in the Premier League.

Alternatively, he could become an alternative to a first-choice star. Irrespective of the agreed-upon deal, Tottenham could sign an established, Premier League-proven goalkeeper to replace Lloris and add some depth with Bayindir.
