Manchester United eyeing €200 million triple signing

Manchester United are eyeing another blockbuster transfer window as they are planning a €200 million transfer outlay to attract three major signings.

According to Spanish outlet AS, Manchester United are planning a big overhaul by adding at least three players to their squad. Cody Gakpo, Goncalo Ramos and Christian Pulisic are believed to be their key targets as Erik ten Hag has been handed the baton this season to lead the rebuilding mission.

United have shown signs of revival as there has been a constant improvement in their performance of late. Wins against Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have approved of ten Hag’s influence in the squad but major work needs to be done.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure might have saved a whole lot of money for the Red Devils but they also have lost a talismanic goal scorer who still seems to be carrying that hunger in him.

Marcus Rashford has provided some glimpse of his usual self as the 25-year-old has emerged to be United’s main goal-scoring threat but they still need some players to freshen up their attacking contingent.

Ramos replaced Ronaldo in the Portuguese lineup and he could replicate that in the United team too. He does have a €120 million release clause in his contract but there is a sheer belief that the Portuguese club will be ready to reach a settlement regarding their demand.

Gakpo was the subject of United’s interest but the Dutch attacker remained at PSV Eindhoven in the summer. His World Cup performance has skyrocketed his value and United might have to splash a hefty premium should they feel the winger is a right fit to ten Hag’s system.

Another player who is generating enough interest is Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic. The USMNT international would be one of the high-profile players who could be available in January and United are planning a surprising swoop.

He hasn’t really made his way through various barriers since his arrival to the Premier League back in 2019 and it is suggested Chelsea will listen to offers for the forward.

A short-term loan deal could be an option for United who have found it difficult to make it count in the opponent’s attacking third.
