Chelsea outcast Christian Pulisic could be interested in an unlikely move to Manchester United in the January transfer window.

As per Calciomercato, Manchester United might emerge as a potential destination for Christian Pulisic, who has fallen in the pecking order at Chelsea in the last few seasons.

Chelsea will listen to offers for Christian Pulisic in January as the 24-year-old seems to be surplus to requirement at the West London club. The Blues will try to recoup at least half of the amount they invested in the USMNT international back in 2019 when he arrived from Borussia Dortmund.

It has been an underwhelming four years for the forward at Chelsea, and he could finally seal a move away from the club in January. Manchester United are destined to bring in another forward in January following the recent departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Erik ten Hag has emphasised completing the signing of a striker. But Pulisic fits in a very different kind of profile. The Chelsea winger primarily loves to take the defender from the left, while he is equally comfortable from the other side.

Chelsea will definitely sanction the sale of the player. But it remains to be seen whether they feel the need to strengthen their direct rivals for the Premier League top four. But according to the report, Pulisic seems destined to join Manchester United.

Inconsistency has been a shortcoming in his Premier League stint, and the player might have to revive his career should he arrive at Old Trafford. There will be stiff competition for a place in the team as the likes of Jadon Sancho and Antony are already waiting ahead in the pecking order at Manchester United.

Chelsea might opt to retain Pulisic till the summer to test him a bit more in the longer run. The USMNT international has shown flashes of brilliance as his solitary goal opened the door to the knockout stages for his country at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Arsenal are also keeping a tab on Pulisic and might choose to knock on the door of their London rival. Manchester United’s interest in the forward still needs to be ascertained as the final call lies with the manager who will determine whether he could be a fit or not.
