Chelsea are keen to sell Christian Pulisic rather than send him out on loan, and January is the best time to get reasonable value.

According to Daily Mail, Chelsea are uninterested in sending Christian Pulisic out on loan. They are keen to sell the USMNT star, and January is when they could get the best value for the Arsenal, Manchester United, and Newcastle target.

Christian Pulisic is in good form for the USA at the World Cup. His performances against Wales and England received ample praise, contrasting his form at Chelsea. The USMNT star has endured a tough time at Stamford Bridge that could end with him leaving the club after the Qatar tournament.

Pulisic has better numbers per 90 minutes when compared to Kai Havertz, Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount. Yet, the attacker constantly sits on the Chelsea bench, waiting to come on as an impact substitute.

His difficult time has continued under new coach Graham Potter. The former Brighton & Hove Albion boss does not prefer to start Pulisic and views him as an impact substitute at best. The USMNT attacker is thus keen to play regularly and could remain open to a departure.

While he has taken the chance to shine with both hands, clubs are alerted to his availability in January. Arsenal, Newcastle United and Manchester United are all keen, with Chelsea open to a sale rather than sending him out on loan.

Manchester United and Newcastle United enquired about him during the summer, with the Red Devils still retaining an interest. Erik ten Hag’s side looked for an opportunity and then switched their attention to Antony.

While they are closing in on signing Cody Gakpo, the Dutchman could become Cristiano Ronaldo’s replacement in the striker’s position. So Manchester United could continue looking for a wide attacker.

At Newcastle United, Eddie Howe is keen on a new wide attacker after losing his patience with the fitness of Allan Saint-Maximin. In any case, they want a new attacker to join in January, and Pulisic might be of interest. Chelsea reportedly want £35 million for the player with 18 months left on his deal.

The most unlikely outcome would be Arsenal’s reported interest. Chelsea may turn down approaches from their London rivals but remain open to selling the USMNT star to other suitors.
