Franck Kessie is not interested in leaving Barcelona anytime soon amid widespread rumours linking him with an exit from Camp Nou.

According to a report by Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Franck Kessie remains happy and content at FC Barcelona. And the Ivory Coast international has no interest in departing from Camp Nou amid widespread rumours linking him with a potential exit next year.

Franck Kessie joined Barcelona after a fruitful stint in Italy. The 25-year-old went from strength to strength at AC Milan, establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in Serie A. But his time at San Siro ended this past summer, with the player departing as a free agent. And Kessie completed the biggest move of his career by Barcelona in a Bosman move.

But the Ivory Coast international has not had a memorable spell thus far with Barcelona. He has started just five of the 20 games played by Barcelona, with Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, and Gavi ahead of him in the pecking order. And recent reports have linked the Ivorian midfielder with several clubs across Europe.

Reports last month pointed at Aston Villa and Fulham being keen on signing Kessie from Barcelona. They have further added that the Premier League clubs are preparing offers to prise the 25-year-old away from Camp Nou next year.

In addition, rumours from Italy have brought Inter Milan into the equation to sign Kessie. And while a move to Inter might be controversial, the Barcelona midfielder might be able to rediscover his best in familiar surroundings. However, the report by Mundo Deportivo claims that the 25-year-old does not want to leave Barcelona.

Recent reports claimed that Kessie was considering leaving Barcelona a few months after arriving at Camp Nou. But his agent had immediately quashed such suggestions, insisting he is happy and content at the Catalan club. It looks like such an insistence remains the stance from the player’s camp.

But the former AC Milan midfielder will be desperate to see his situation improve. With Sergio Busquets facing an uncertain future at Camp Nou, Kessie’s fortunes might see an upswing. For now, he remains determined to succeed for Barcelona.
