La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly considering signing 22-year-old Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic from Serie A giants Juventus.

According to a report by Italian outlet Calciomercatoweb, Dusan Vlahovic has popped up on the radar of Real Madrid. The 22-year-old striker is a target for the 2023 summer transfer window. But Los Blancos will have to offer four players to Serie A giants Juventus to land the former Fiorentina man.

Dusan Vlahovic has established himself as one of the best strikers in Serie A in the last two calendar years. The Serbian international rose to prominence at Fiorentina before joining Juventus in January 2022. But the player has blown hot and cold at the Allianz Stadium, thanks to the struggles of the Bianconeri.

The 22-year-old has a sub-par tally of seven goals and two assists in 15 appearances this season. But Vlahovic remains a pivotal figure for Juventus and the Serbian national team. And he is currently in Qatar, hoping to embark on a memorable World Cup campaign. At the same time, the Serb has captured the attention of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid will likely enter the market for a striker in the 2023 summer transfer window. While it seemed like Karim Benzema was going to last a few more years, his fitness issues this season might force Los Blancos to accelerate his succession plan. And recent reports claim that Real Madrid might sign a striker next summer.

Several candidates have emerged on their radar, including Matheus Nascimento. And Vlahovic is also a viable target for Real Madrid, with the 22-year-old having his best years ahead of him. In addition, unlike Juventus, the Real Madrid squad is brimming with creativity. So his output should improve at the Santiago Bernabeu.

But Real Madrid will have to offer a few players as sweeteners to convince Juventus to part ways with Vlahovic. Even then, it seems unlikely that the Serie A giants will go down without a fight in the tussle for the Serb’s services.

Vlahovic’s stance on joining Real Madrid will also be a critical factor. The Merengues might also face competition from Premier League clubs for the Serbian striker. And it will be interesting to see if Los Blancos can bring the 22-year-old to Spain next year.
