La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly hopeful of securing the services of in-demand Brazilian prodigy Endrick, a target for Chelsea.
According to a report by 90min, Palmeiras will expect to agree to a deal for Endrick before the end of the year. Real Madrid and Chelsea are among the in-demand Brazilian prodigy’s prospective suitors, with the former being confident of winning the race to sign him.
Endrick has the world at his feet despite being only 16 years old. The teenage wonderkid rose to prominence earlier this year following his stellar performances in Copinha. That had already forced Europe’s most high-profile clubs to sit up and take note of his talent. And the young attacker has already established a foothold in the first-team squad at Palmeiras.
The Brazilian whizkid has turned out seven times for Palmeiras, grabbing three goals and one assist. And after breaking a few records already, Endrick is one of the most highly sought-after players in Europe. Two of his prospective suitors are Real Madrid and Chelsea.
Real Madrid first laid eyes on Endrick at the start of the year. And they have been keeping tabs on his progress throughout 2022. Recent reports have claimed that Florentino Perez wants to finalise the deal for the 16-year-old as soon as possible. And the interest in the youngster comes in the wake of Karim Benzema’s fitness woes this season.
With the French striker well into his thirties, Endrick might be the ideal candidate to take over from him in the coming years. And a few reports have claimed that the teenage prodigy is keen on joining Real Madrid. But the Merengues face stiff competition from Chelsea for the young striker.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined Chelsea this past summer but is only a short-term solution. Graham Potter does have Armando Broja at his disposal. But the Chelsea boss will likely look for another striker to complete his offensive unit in the coming years. And recent reports have claimed that the Blues are the front-runners for his signature.
But according to 90min, Real Madrid are optimistic of signing the 16-year-old. And with Palmeiras expecting to conclude a deal for Endrick by the end of the year, Los Blancos will look to step up the efforts to sign him. But it will be interesting to see if Chelsea can beat Real Madrid, PSG, and others to land the Brazilian prodigy.
