Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in advanced negotiations to secure the signing of Everton forward Richarlison in a €60 million deal.

According to Brazilian journalist Bruno Andrade, Tottenham Hotspur are inching closer to the capture of Brazilian forward Richarlison from Premier League rivals Everton in a deal worth €60 million.

Richarlison is close to completing four years as an Everton player, having arrived at the club from Watford in the summer of 2018. The 25-year-old has grown into a vital player at Goodison Park, making over 150 appearances in which he has chalked up a tally of 53 goals and 14 assists.

Richarlison played a crucial role in helping Everton avoid relegation from the Premier League in the 2021/22 campaign, as he was directly involved in 15 goals in 30 league outings. But, the 25-year-old Brazilian international could have reached the end of the road at Goodison Park as he is ready to take the next step in his career.

Richarlison has been attracting serious interest from several top clubs in the Premier League, while La Liga champions Real Madrid are also believed to be keen. However, as things stand, Tottenham seem to have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Richarlison, with the Lilywhites reportedly in advanced talks to secure the Brazilian’s signing.

Tottenham are in the market for attacking reinforcements as they are ready to part ways with Steven Bergwijn and will need to bring in a replacement for the Netherlands international. Furthermore, Antonio Conte’s side do not have any natural cover for Harry Kane in the No. 9 slot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, an area they need to address this summer.

And Richarlison could serve as the ideal option, as the north London club could hit two targets with a single arrow by signing the forme Watford star. The 25-year-old can provide cover and compete with Son Heung-min on the left flank, while he could also serve as a backup for Kane in the centre-forward position.

As reported by Bruno Andrade, Tottenham are now in advanced talks to secure the signing of Richarlison, with the deal expected to cost the Lilywhites a sum of around €60 million. The update also adds that the Everton attacker is also discussing a contract with Spurs, with a move now edging closer to completion.

If true, Tottenham could be pulling off a major coup as they continue their strong start to the summer window, having already signed Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster on free transfers.
