Liverpool came back from being a goal down in the first-half to defeat Crystal Palace 4-3 at home to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
Liverpool were dealt a blow in the first period as Andros Townsend finished past Alisson to give the Eagles the lead in the 34th minute. However, the Reds put up a spirited fight after the break, as star man Mohamed Salah brought them back on level terms within a minute of the restart.
Seven minutes later, Jurgen Klopp’s men were in the lead, courtesy of a Roberto Firmino strike, but Palace fought their way back to equalize through James Tomkins’ headed effort in the 65th minute. However, a huge error from veteran Palace keeper Julian Speroni allowed Salah to score his second goal of the game and put the Reds in front again.
Liverpool were reduced to ten men after veteran James Milner was sent off for his second booking in the 89th minute, but Sadio Mane ensured that didn’t hurt the home side, netting in the added time to make it 4-2. Max Meyer added a consolation goal for Palace late on, but Liverpool held on for three points in a thrilling encounter.
And here’s how the Reds supporters reacted to the scintillating contest at Anfield;

That’s a proper test of Liverpool’s title credentials. Ridiculous amount of pressure on them to turn the game on it’s head, and that’s exactly what they did.
Form of champions, that.

Mohamed Salah was at the heart of Liverpool’s comeback, scoring two goals on the day to take his tally to 16 league goals. In the process, he also became the first Egyptian footballer to score 50 goals in the Premier League (48 for Liverpool, 2 for Chelsea). And the fans hailed the performance of their talismanic forward against the Eagles.
