Arsenal 2-1 Burnley: Aubameyang and Lacazette score as Ceballos dazzles in Arsenal win [Tweets]

Arsenal made it two in two after beating Burnley at the Emirates with Dani Ceballos starring in a full debut to remember.

For the first time in ten years, Arsenal have won their opening two games of the Premier League season. Alexandre Lacazette scored on his first appearance of the season from a Dani Ceballos corner to give Arsenal the lead. Arsenal did end the first half level with Burnley after Ashley Barnes scored the equaliser.

The introduction of Nicolas Pepe at half time did add some spark to the Arsenal attack, as the Gunners pushed hard for a second goal. The goal did arrive, courtesy to Ceballos’ hard work as he fed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who scored his second goal in as many games. That’s two winners from the Gabon striker in two games, and he is already proving to be a significant contributor to Arsenal’s cause.

However, it was Ceballos that stirred the pot at the Emirates with his brilliant, energetic performance on his full debut. Ceballos also became only the third Arsenal player to register two or more assists on his debut, with the other two being Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Ray Parlour.

With David Luiz also a significant contributor in defence, and Nicolas Pepe was dazzling the Emirates crowd with his cameo. It all looked bright for Arsenal as they stood the Burnley test. Twitter reacted as usual, and the focus was on Ceballos’ performance. There were also words for the front three partnership of Pepe-Aubameyang-Lacazette or now known as PAL.

Let’s take a look at some interesting tweets from the Twittersphere.

Like mentioned earlier, Ceballos’ name was sung across twitter for his superb debut and here are some tweets that described his display against Burnley.

Then the chatter revolved around the aforementioned attacking trio of Pepe-Aubameyang-Lacazette. While Pepe couldn’t get on the score sheet, the other two did and proved crucial in Arsenal’s win. According to Twitter, these are exciting times ahead for Arsenal.

That nutmeg though!

With David Luiz also making his Emirates bow, there was some chatter around his likeness to fellow Gunners’ star Matteo Guendouzi. Overall, Luiz had a good game and that too got its due credit. And most importantly the chatter closed with some mentions on the importance of the three points against Burnley.
