Chelsea have reportedly been linked with a move for former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino.

A report from Fichajes claims that Chelsea are eyeing up a move for Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino if things do not improve under Graham Potter.

It has been a disappointing season for Chelsea so far, and they are currently languishing in the tenth place in the Premier League table. They would have expected to challenge for the title at the start of the season. But things are clearly not going according to plan for them.

Chelsea appointed Graham Potter as a replacement for Thomas Tuchel. And the former Brighton manager was expected to hit the ground running. Despite significant investment in the transfer windows, Potter has failed to get the best out of his squad. And there are rumours that Chelsea could look to get rid of him at the end of the season.

It remains to be seen whether Potter can turn things around at Stamford Bridge in the coming months and help the Blues secure Champions League qualification. Missing out on Champions League football would be a devastating blow for a club like Chelsea. So it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Meanwhile, Pochettino is currently out of a job since leaving Paris Saint-Germain. And the opportunity to return to the Premier League could be an exciting option for him.

The Argentine has managed in the Premier League before with Tottenham. And he helped them reach the finals of the Champions League while challenging for the Premier League title. He could prove to be an exciting appointment.

Apart from his high-intensity attacking football, he is adept when it comes to improving young players. And Chelsea have a number of talented young players at their disposal. It could be a good match between the Argentine and the London club.

Meanwhile, Pochettino has been linked with a move back to Tottenham as well. It remains to be seen whether the Blues can fend off competition from their London rivals and bring the Argentine to Stamford Bridge in the coming months. But Chelsea also have other options on their radar, including Zinedine Zidane.

Why wait till the end of the season? get rid of the pot now!!! my highschool coach would do better with less than what have. worst manager ever

Please chelseafc owner should go for Hansi Flick as a better winning profile than Pochetino as their next coach…….cos the latter is not far from their current coach tactically and discipline wise.

    • Frank Kachebri says:

Hand flick has never coached in the premiere league hence may need a longer adaptation time which Chelsea do not have. Pochettino is a premiere league proven coach and was even unlucky not to have won the champions league…so I think Chelsea giving him a second chance at that opportunity plus heavier investment in the team can be a win win for both parties

Pochettino would be a great fit!
