Chelsea and Manchester City are reportedly monitoring the situation of PSG wunderkind Kays Ruiz-Atil who has his eyes set on a return to Barcelona.

According to the recent report from AS, one of the ingenious products of Barcelona’s La Masia academy, Kays Ruiz-Atil, is on the radars of Manchester City and Chelsea, although the teenager desires a return to Camp Nou, due to his indecisive spell in PSG colours.

Ruiz-Atil joined the French club back in 2015 from La Masia, as he was eyeing to showcase his credibility in the biggest stages of European football. The 18-year-old had made his debut on 10th of September last year against Lens and despite the 1-0 loss, he was able to put up an eye-catching display.

The Moroccan attacker has been able to grab 7 appearances in the ongoing season and is unhappy with his current involvement in Les Parisiens’ first-team. Ruiz-Atil’s contract with PSG will soon expire at the end of the season.

In spite of an engrossing phase under the previous manager Thomas Tuchel, Ruiz-Atil in recent weeks has not been able to gain much of the trust of Mauricio Pochettino, as the player seems to be going through a sluggish period after his return from the injury. And, this lack of game time could be the reason for him seeking an exit when his deal runs out.

Chelsea have already set their sights on Kays Ruiz-Atli, as the Blues’ new boss, Tuchel, has been trying to convince the left-winger to join his side. In spite of starting the venture with his new club in a breathtaking manner, the German coach is not avoiding the fact that in a period of transition, adding players with potential could enhance their prospects for the upcoming seasons.

Meanwhile, Manchester City’s arrival in the scenario could spice up the affair, as the league leaders are raring to bolster up their attacking department in the summer. However, Ruiz-Atil is hoping to secure a return to his roots with Barcelona once his contract with PSG runs out later this year.

As for now, it remains to be seen whether this promising youngster will stick to his plan to join Barcelona in the next summer, or a fresh venture awaits on English soil, where he could work under his previous manager Thomas Tuchel.
