James Milner has been retained at right-back while Diogo Jota keeps his place ahead of Roberto Firmino as Liverpool get set to take on Manchester City.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has decided to name an unchanged XI from the midweek triumph over FC Porto for their blockbuster Premier League encounter against Manchester City at Anfield.

Alisson Becker continues between the sticks as the obvious first-choice goalkeeper while the central defensive pairing of Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk has been retained by Klopp with both Joe Gomez and Naby Keita among the substitutes. Andrew Robertson continues at left-back while James Milner gets the nod yet again at right-back in the absence of star man Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Fabinho holds on to his spot at the base of the three-man midfield unit for Liverpool against Manchester City. Flanking him on either side are club captain Jordan Henderson and academy graduate Curtis Jones, who enjoyed a stunning game in midweek against Porto.

The attack also sees no change, with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane retained out wide on the flanks while Klopp has decided to stick with Diogo Jota through the middle even though Roberto Firmino scored a brace after coming on as a substitute against Porto earlier in the week.
