Borussia Dortmund set to hold talks with Manchester United for Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund could hold talks with Manchester United over the future of Jadon Sancho, with the club keen on keeping him for next season.

According to Fabrizio Romano on Caught Offside, Borussia Dortmund are ready to open talks with Manchester United to figure out the future of Jadon Sancho. The v has been sensational for the German giants, but there are plenty of details before they can finalise a move to bring him back next season.

Dortmund to open Jadon Sancho talks

Borussia Dortmund took an opportunistic decision in January to bring Jadon Sancho on loan as the 24-year-old attacker was available due to his turbulent time at Manchester United. he has essentially performed well during this spell, which has given rise to speculation the Germans might ponder keeping him for a while longer or even sign him on permanently.

Manchester United are not in the mood to take a massive loss on their investment, although Dortmund are not willing to pay big. Hence, with the club now securing Champions League football for the next season and very close to reaching the current edition’s final, they may have some money to spare if the conditions are right.

Fabrizio Romano insists that Dortmund will open talks with Manchester United to figure out a move for the 24-year-old attacker. There have been suggestions that the Red Devils could even loan him out. Hence, things about what they want to do with Sancho in the summer are unclear.

Romano said, “It’s really important news for Borussia Dortmund. Why? Obviously they have the importance of Champions League but also the fresh money from the competition so that they can really attack their two main targets.”

“The first one is to keep Jadon Sancho. It’s not going to be easy but Dortmund will meet with Manchester United and try to find a solution. So let’s see what’s going to happen.”

Can Dortmund sign Sancho permantely?

There are plenty of complications about Dortmund signing Sancho permanently next summer, with finances at the forefront of the issues. The German giants are unwilling to fork out huge sums to bring them forward again, even if the 24-year-old attacker desires a switch to the Westfalenstadion.

Additionally, his wages are a big problem, with Dortmund unlikely to offer anything closer to what he makes at Manchester United on his current contract. Hence, the 24-year-old attacker might have to take a massive pay cut to re-sign for the Bundesliga giants, and there are questions about how much of a cut he will be eager to take.
