Liverpool are suffering from an injury crisis and it has led to some surprising inclusions in the starting XI. Teenage midfielder Trent Alexander-Arnold starts for Liverpool in one of the most fiercely contested derbies in Europe.

Another of the club’s young, but relatively more experienced talents in Belgian striker Divock Origi has been chosen to lead the line ahead of Daniel Sturridge, as Roberto Firmino plays behind him.

Manchester United on the other hand have been boosted by the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who missed his last game because of illness. Argentine defender Marcos Rojo also slots straight back into the starting XI after recovering from injury.
