Nottingham Forest will look to sign 30-year-old Colombian international Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace this summer.
According to a report by Football Insider, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in Daniel Munoz. However, Oliver Glasner wants to reunite with the 30-year-old Crystal Palace right wing-back after their time together at the South London club, with the report suggesting he will be “key to any deal” for the player. Meanwhile, the Eagles are demanding around £25 million to part ways with him.
How has Daniel Munoz fared for Crystal Palace?
Daniel Munoz has established himself as an accomplished wing-back in the Premier League since joining Crystal Palace from KRC Genk in January 2024. The 30-year-old quickly established himself as a key figure at Selhurst Park, as Oliver Glasner has honed his performances during his tenure at the club.
The Colombian international has made over 100 appearances for Crystal Palace thus far while chipping in with 11 goals and 16 assists, an impressive return for a wing-back. Munoz has been integral to the South London club’s recent success, and his progress has piqued the attention of several well-known clubs.
Move across the Premier League on the cards?
Tottenham will attempt to sign a right-back in the final days of the summer transfer window, as Djed Spence’s move to Inter Milan has left Roberto De Zerbi with Pedro Porro as the only right-back in his squad. While Archie Gray can play in the position, De Zerbi requires a specialist right-back to rotate with Porro.
Meanwhile, Everton’s interest in Daniel Munoz is understandable. The Toffees are scouring the market for a right-back, as Seamus Coleman has called time on his illustrious stint with the Merseyside outfit following the 2025/26 season. Additionally, Nathan Patterson is reportedly on the chopping block after struggling throughout his spell with Everton. So, David Moyes needs an alternative to Jake O’Brien, primarily a centre-back who has become the first-choice right-back.
As for Nottingham Forest, Ola Aina has been excellent throughout his stint with the Tricky Trees. However, Nicolo Savona reportedly faces an uncertain future at the City Ground, compelling Oliver Glasner to return to his former club for a new right wing-back.
