Chelsea looking to sell Mykhailo Mudryk, Arsenal keen

Chelsea might sell Mykhailo Mudryk in January after a failure to adapt at Stamford Bridge, with Arsenal ready to rekindle their interest.

According to Fichajes, Chelsea are considering a departure for Mykhailo Mudryk ahead of the January window and are contemplating multiple ideas. The Blues are eager to loan the 22-year-old to help him gain experience but remain open to a permanent sale, too, with Arsenal likely to rekindle their interest.

Last January, Chelsea fought hard with Arsenal to sign Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk despite the attacker leaning more towards joining the Gunners. Speculation suggests the Blues blew the race wide open with their offer of more money to the winger, which swung the move in their favour.

Other stories insisted Mudryk was convinced by Chelsea’s long-term project at Stamford Bridge, where he saw himself as a regular. The 22-year-old Chelsea star has had a torrid start to life at the club, failing to hit the expected heights.

With his dismal form of the previous campaign continuing in the new one, fans have grown frustrated with the Ukranian’s performances on the pitch. A recent goal against Arsenal elevated his confidence, but he was absent from action at the weekend as Chelsea lost at home to Brentford.

Despite a recent report claiming Chelsea had no interest in selling him in January, the latest story appears to contrast with the club’s stance. Here, the Blues are open to letting the 22-year-old leave the club ahead of the next window.

The report states Chelsea are keen on a loan move for the winger to help him gain valuable experience. Alternatively, the Blues are also open to a full sale, provided the conditions are right. A loan move was in their plans earlier, but there are questions over their asking price in case of a permanent move.

Arsenal are reportedly keen and ready to rekindle their interest in the 22-year-old Chelsea star. To what degree those rumours are true remains the question, although the Gunners are in the market for a wide attacker.

They might have shelved their plans for Pedro Neto after his recent injury, which may let them re-focus on Mudryk. The Chelsea star may not have a long-term future at Stamford Bridge, but whether they are open to selling to a direct rival remains the question.
