Ibrahim Sangare has been offered to top Premier League clubs as the midfielder looks to further his career by moving to England.
According to 90min, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have been given a chance to sign Ibrahim Sangare. The PSV Eindhoven midfielder remains open to leaving the Dutch side and starting a career with one of the big clubs in the Premier League.
Ibrahim Sangare is not a strange name for Premier League clubs, as many tried to sign him during the summer window. The 25-year-old midfield powerhouse has produced good performances with PSV and has had a good season at the Eredivisie side.
PSV may not have wanted to sell too many players in that window and disrupt the team too much. There were heavy links to Premier League sides, including Chelsea, but nothing materialised then. Even in January, PSV lost two key stars, Cody Gakpo and Noni Madueke, while wanting to keep stars like Sangare.
They could open the doors, as Sangare was reportedly offered to top Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. These names have come to the fore owing to their respective needs for a new midfielder. Liverpool, in particular, are looking at a raft of names in the market and could look at Sangare.
They might keep chasing high-profile names like Jude Bellingham, but Liverpool also want a holding midfielder. While Sangare represents a good option, Jurgen Klopp may look to sign a Premier League-proven star. Ruben Neves remains a target along with club teammate Matheus Nunes and Fulham’s Joao Palinha.
Meanwhile, Chelsea retained an interest and were reportedly told to pay Sangare’s €37 million release clause. PSV will look to achieve those figures and get the best possible value for the 25-year-old midfield powerhouse. Whether the Blues return for the midfielder remains the question.
There’s also the mention of Arsenal in the report. The Gunners are in the market for a new midfielder that may be similar to Sangare’s position. But their priority remains with Declan Rice, and the Gunners are front-runners for the England international’s signature.
As for Sangare, a move may materialise to the Premier League, but whether it will involve a top-tier side remains the question. There could be others like Aston Villa or Europa League playing teams likely to come into the equation for the 25-year-old midfield powerhouse, as a move to a top-four side seems unlikely.
