Chelsea are interested in signing 25-year-old PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare ahead of next season.

According to TwenteInsite, former Chelsea target Ibrahim Sangare will be available for transfer in the summer. The 25-year-old midfielder has impressed one and all with his performances for PSV Eindhoven. And, the Blues will have to pay €37 million if they want to acquire his services.

The 25-year-old defensive midfielder joined PSV from Toulouse. He has gone from strength to strength since joining them. His impressive performances have caught the eye of Chelsea who were willing to push for him at the start of the season.

Sangare has featured in 124 matches for the Dutch club and has 21 goal contributions to his name. In the ongoing season, the Ivory Coast international has 10 goal involvements in 36 outings. He has been a standout performer for his team so far and a lot of clubs are keeping an eye on him.

The 25-year-old’s contract at the club ends in the summer of 2027. But, there is a release clause of €37 million which is likely to be triggered by a club ahead of next season. PSV have already started planning for life without Sangare as it is pretty much certain that he will leave in the summer.

Meanwhile, Chelsea who have been struggling in the ongoing season will look for further reinforcement in the summer. The Blues have already spent a fortune on signing new players over the past few transfer windows. But, they are yet to produce the desired results on the pitch.

The London club are expected to offload quite a few players in the summer. And, they will once again enter the market for a new number six. The Blues have decided against opting to activate the buy option in Denis Zakaria’s loan deal. With him set to return to Juventus, they have their eyes on Ibrahim Sangare.

Meanwhile, People at the club believe that the 25-year-old can solve major problems for the team in blue. The Ivory Coast international has it in him to dominate the midfield and dictate the pace of the play.

However, it will be interesting to see if they can manage to land him at Stamford Bridge given the amount of interest in his services and the €37 million release clause.
