Liverpool FC manager JA?rgen Klopp was understandably upset despite Tuesday’s 1-0 victory over Stoke City at the Britannia, with the Reds losing Dejan Lovren, Philippe Coutinho and possibly even Kolo Tour to hamstring injuries

It should have been a joyous day for Liverpool FC, who now move closer to a first trophy under new manager JA?rgen Klopp, but the mood was significantly dampened by more additions to the Reds’ seemingly ever-growing injury list.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager hinted that January transfers were possible as a consequence, while insisting that his training methods are not to blame for the hamstring injuries to several of his players.
January transfers possible due to injury crisis
The list of injured players at Liverpool FC now includes all four centre-backs, prompting Klopp to suggest that January arrivals at Anfield are quite possible. The German is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: “This [January transfers] is something we have to think about. It is a strange feeling because on one side it is very, very good then we have these injuries.
“Two weeks ago we had three centre-backs, which is a good situation, and the season started with five – but now it is zero.”
Klopp also rejected the notion that his training methods were to blame, claiming his players do not have the time to train due to the busy English football calendar. “Maybe I could look at our training methods but we don’t train – we only recover,” added Klopp. “There is no training. I’m responsible for these things and if you want to make me responsible for our hamstring strains, then OK.”
Klopp calls for consistency
Liverpool FC have had wildly fluctuating results under their new manager thus far, picking up wins against the likes of Chelsea FC, Manchester City and Southampton away, but losing to Watford and West Ham, among other less-fancied opponents. The Reds need to be consistent if they are to have any chance of finishing in the top four, or indeed winning silverware this season.
The need for consistency is something Klopp acknowledges, saying after the victory at the Britannia, “If somebody had told us it would be 1-0 before the game we would have taken it but it is just 1-0 and nothing is decided in the first leg.
“We showed what we were capable of, although we have shown what we were capable of in other games. We have to show more consistency.”
