Real Madrid Defender Cannot Imagine Casillas Wearing Another Clubai??i??s Shirt

Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal says no one can imagine Iker Casillas playing for a different club despite rumours of the legendary Spaniarda s departure.

Club captain Iker Casillasa Real Madrid future is on a toss as several reports suggest that the keeper is all set to leave the club where he began his career. After making his senior team debut in 1999, Casillas has been a highly respected and loved figure in Madrid. However, the recent drop in his performances has invited a lot of criticism from the Los Blancos faithful and it is believed that the legend will soon be replaced by Manchester United star David de Gea.

As rumours of Casillasa departure take shape, his national and club teammate Dani Carvajal is still unable to imagine the captain playing for a club other than Real Madrid.

“Neither myself nor anyone else can imagine Iker Casillas wearing any other shirt that isna t the Real Madrid one,” the 23-year-old said to reporters.

Dani Carvajal himself faces an uncertain future as Real Madrid have signed Brazilian right-back Danilo from FC Porto for around a 32 million. However, the Castilla graduate is determined to fight for his place just as he did for a spot in Del Bosquea s Spain side.

.

“Next season I will be in competition with Danilo but Ia ll be making it difficult for the coach to decide. If I am here with the Spain squad, ita s down to all of the hard work I have put in.

“Those that know me can tell you that I will be making it difficult for [Spain coach] Vicente Del Bosque to make his decision about the right-back position.”

Iker Casillas has always maintained that he would like to finish his career at Real Madrid, but recent developments suggest that David de Gea will definitely replace the keeper. It seems like the club is not keen on keeping three keepers a De Gea, Casillas and Navas a in the roster and at 34 years of age, Casillas is most likely to be forced out of the club.
