Rooney recently became the highest scorer for his county and is the joint second highest goal scorer for Manchester United, 12 strikes behind Sir Bobby Charlton who scored 249 goals for the Red Devils.

Wilson Needs Game Time

James Wilson has withdrawn from United’s next match against Watford due to fitness problems, leaving Wayne Rooney as the only recognized striker in the Man United squad.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a loan move away from the club, given the fact that he is not given enough game time by manager Louis Van Gaal who doesn’t trust the young striker enough yet to put him in front of the United attack.
