Liverpool have kept themselves busy after the end of a disappointing season by quickly adding reinforcements for next season.

Latest player to be linked with a move to the Merseysiders is Ludwig Augustinsson. Metro report that “the Reds are keen on a move for the controversial Swedish Under-21a s defender.”

Just who is Augustinsson? The 21 year old plays as a left-back for Danish club FC Copenhagen.

He has been highly rated in his native country and has been fully capped by the senior Sweden side. He started his career at Stockholm side Brommapojkarna before joining IFK Goteborg in the 2013/14 season.

He joined Copenhagen only in this January transfer window for a sum in the region of A?1m. He is under contract until June 2019.

Despite only joining six months back and making 15 appearances for the side, it is believed that that will not stop the Swede from making a switch to Brendan Rodgers’s side.

With there being a lot of links of Liverpool being interested in Lucas Digne, it could be the case that Brendan Rodgers wants competition for Alberto Moreno. Moreno was brought from Sevilla last summer for a sum near a 15 million. Much was expected from the Spaniard and some had gone to the lengths of saying Liverpool’s left-back problems for the next decade were sorted. While Moreno hasn’t been a a flopa , his performances havena t particularly impressed on a number of occasions. Getting another youngster with a lot of potential will only prove to be better for both the club and Moreno who would be on his toes to perform better. With Jose Enriquea s future at the club uncertain, it makes sense for the Merseysiders to add another player for the position.
