Following the conclusion of the ISL auctions, where 7.2 crores were spent on 10 players, 40 players have been signed by the eight ISL clubs in the domestic drafts. The drafts lasted for 7 rounds, with Mumbai City signing a player in each of the rounds, the maximum of the drafts, spending a total of 1.2 crores on them, with left-back Keegan Pereira, who had a base price of 32 lakhs, becoming the most expensive player of the draft.
Mumbai refused to entertain the Instant Trade offer by FC Goa first and then by NorthEast United for Brandon Fernandez and Lalchhuanmawia Fanai respectively. Delhi Dynamos were second on the list of teams, with highest players from ISL drafts, after having recruited a total of six players, one of whom came as part of an instant trade with Pune City FC. The Delhi based franchise spent in excess of 65 lakhs, after selling midfielder Fanai Lalrempuia for 9.2 lakhs to Pune City, having only paid 1.8 lakhs for his services. Delhi instead got Pune Citya s pick of the 6th round, midfielder Gunashekar Vignesh.
NorthEast United also signed a total of six players, and had their proposal to instant trade refused by Mumbai City FC and FC Goa in the 2nd round, for Lalchhuanmawia Fanai and Thongkosiem Haokip respectively. The John Abraham co-owned club, spent a total of 63.24 lakhs for the services of the six players.
FC Pune City also strengthened their side with no less than 6 players, while also becoming the only club to successfully use the Instant Trade card, when they signed Fanai Lalrempuia for 9.2 lakhs from Delhi Dynamos. Next on the list with 5 signings under their name is Chennaiyin FC, spending close to 77 lakhs, for the services of these players. Attacking midfielder, Zakeer Mundampara cost them 23 lakhs.
Kerala Blasters along with holding champions Atletico de Kolkata signed four players each, spending 57 lakhs and 43.5 lakhs respectively. Atleticoa s only proposal for Instant Trade was rejected by FC Pune City. FC Goa were the most dormant side of the drafts, signing only two players while spending 17.8 lakhs in the process.

A total of 5.28 crores was spent on the 40 players by the clubs during the Domestic Draft, taking the total spending of the day close to 12.5 crores.
