FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi is believed to be considering a move to the Premier League, which seems to have prompted him to learn English.

 

The Argentine forward has often been linked with a move away from FC Barcelona, with the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea FC, Manchester United, and even Barcaa s arch-rivals Real Madrid reportedly hot on his tail.

However, according to recent reports on TalkSport, La Liga pundit Guillem Balague believes that the 28-year-old is a preparing for the possibilitya of a move to England, and is learning English just in case some good offer pops up.

Balague also went on to describe how Messi had offers from Premier League clubs earlier in his career, as teammates like Gerard Pique (Manchester United) and Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal FC) took their respective opportunities to try their luck abroad.

Arsenal FC were reportedly interested in the Argentine, but the FC Barcelona superstar reportedly decided to stay back at the Catalan club, where he went on to become one of the biggest stars in the world of football.

FC Barcelona are currently embroiled in a fierce battle for La Liga supremacy with Real Madrid, as both teams are on the same number of points (24) from 10 matches, with the latter being ahead on goal difference.

The two sides are set to lock horns later this month, in a clash that could very well decide who wins the title at the end of the season. Lionel Messi, who is currently sidlined with injury, is expected to make a comeback in time for the El Clasico.
