Arsenal FC fans slam Wenger on Twitter for playing SA?nchez despite hamstring concerns [Tweets]

Arsenal FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Norwich City on Sunday — a result made considerably worse by injuries to key players in Laurent Koscielny and Alexis SA?nchez — prompting fans to take to Twitter to slam manager ArsA?ne Wenger

The Gunners remain just two points off the top of the table, but their ever-growing injury list will be a serious cause for concern going into the busy festive period of the season. Arsenal FC lost midfielders Francis Coquelin and Mikel Arteta to injury in the 2-1 defeat at the Hawthorns last weekend, and could now be without two absolutely vital players in centre-back Laurent Koscielny and attacking midfielder Alexis SA?nchez.

It is probably just as well that Mesut zil appears to playing as well as he has ever played in an Arsenal FC shirt, while the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey are getting closer to a return to the first-team squad.

Fans slam Wenger after SA?nchez injury

The Gunners took the lead on Sunday at the half-hour mark through the increasingly influential zil, before Lewis Grabban restored parity just before half-time. Before all this action, however, Koscielny had to be replaced due to an apparent hip injury, while SA?nchez followed the Frenchman to the dressing room an hour into the game with a hamstring injury.

The injury to the Chilean in particular had Arsenal FC fans irate, given that Wenger chose to play him despite the fact that he had been carrying a slight niggle since the last international break. Others chose to be more circumspect about the situation however, and accepted it was a case of misfortune rather than negligence or bad judgement.
