Manchester United management is almost certain of losing both RVP and Javier Hernandez in the summer and have reportedly set their eyes on Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid.
A report of ESPN has stressed today that Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been linked with a move for Morata while United face stiff competition from Juventus.
The GunnersAi??were thought to be exploring the possibility of signing the Blancos forward in January before the La Liga giants opted to retainAi??the 21-year-old.
However, with fellow youngster Jese Rodriguez having forced his way above Morata inAi??the Bernabeu pecking order, it is believed that Madrid are prepared to listen to offers.
The problem for Real Madrid, however, is that Morata’s contract is due to expire in 2015. Although Madrid desperately want to keep a player they consider a promising talent, there is a concern that interested clubs may use the situation to their advantage by offering Morata the kind of contract that the Santiago Bernabeu hierarchy do not feel is worthy of his current status.
A sale would also offer Morata a higher level of football – and potentially experience of the Champions League – than any loan move could.
Rumours of Robin van Persie’s future continue to persist, with a recent report claiming thatAi??the Dutchman was keen on a sensational switch back to Arsenal, while Chelsea, Juventus and Monaco are also monitoring the situation. Morata, who is valued at around A?25m, has found game time limited in the Spanish capital this term with 12 of his 13 appearances coming from the substitutes’ bench.

Having spent the early part of his career on loan, he scored his first senior goal for the club against Levante on November 11, 2012. The powerful striker is graceful, flaunts an excellent touch and is a smart distributor of possession. He is the kind of player who isn’t afraid to try a quick flick or unorthodox pass to keep momentum building and is difficult to halt with the ball at his feet.
