Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham will have the chance to sign former Real Madrid striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for a meagre sum ofAi??A?3million this January.
The Holland international is out of contract at the end of the season. Schalke are keen on keeping the Dutch international, but by the present looks of it, it seems unlikely that the 31 year old will pen a new deal with the Bundesliga outfit.
Huntelaar was the subject of a failed bid from Arsenal during the summer transfer window and Liverpool too, were linked with the player before they went and bought 24 year old Mario Balotelli from AC Milan. Spurs are also said to be in on him as they too need to add to their strike department which doesn’t seem to be doing too well at the moment.
However, both the clubs are now rumored to be preparing bids for him as the two clubs have not got off to fantastic starts and could be boosted with a player like ‘Hunter’.
The 31-year-old has never played in the Premier League despite having impressed in Holland, Spain, Italy and Germany, but as shown by his impactful performances in the World Cup, the player remains a great asset to the team. His work rate, pace and sheer determination is enough to have a lot of sides interested in him and he could prove to be a great addition to the side that does get him.
