Speaking ahead of the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich, Manchester United manager David Moyes believes his team is as good as any other team on their day.
Though putting up a defiant face ahead of their clash againstAi?? the European champions, David Moyes will be aware that he enters the tie as the firm under-dogs. Manchester United have fizzeld out without Sir Alex Ferguson and David Moyesai??i?? charge at the Old Trafford has been far from successful. Narrowly avoiding an exit at the hands of Olympiakos, United now face a Bayern Munich that seems invincible in their current season.
However David Moyes believes that his team can upset the German champions if they play to their true potential.

United manager believes that his players have the ability to beat Bayern Munich at Old Trafford and are raring to go the quarter-final clash.
“We have to show it more often than we have done but I have great belief in the players. I have said that from day one and it hasn’t changed.ai???
“I get the feeling they (the players) all want to play. I can tell by their training and their attitude that they are saying ‘this is a big game’ and they all want to play in the big games. That’s what I think that over the years the players here have wanted to do.”
This is a battle that will be fought on the pitch as well as off-the pitch as David Moyes locks horns with Pep Guardiola who is considered as one of the best football minds currently. While David Moyes has shown himself to be tactically very average even though he has at his command some of the best European talents.
“I am really looking forward to coming up against Pep Guardiola. It is the first time I have done but I have no doubt I will be doing it many times in the future.”
The two managers took over at their clubs at the beginning of this season and have had contrasting fortunes ever since. While Guardiola went on to improve an already brilliant team, Moyes seems to have dismantled Sir Alex Fergusonai??i??s side at Old Trafford. But the ai???Chosen Oneai??i?? believes that the reason behind Guardiolaai??i??s success is due to the fact that he had a year to get ready for the job while Moyes had a month or two. However he did not shy away from complimenting a Bayern side that is looking as the favourites to win the tie.
“He has had a year to get ready for the Bayern job,” Moyes said.
“He has done incredibly well with them, he has taken over the European champions but his record with them has been very good.”
Talking about his starting eleven, David Moyes admitted that he has a few defensive handicaps but refused to divulge any further details.
“We have defensive issues undoubtedly. I won’t be giving out my team today but, as everybody is aware, we will have to make one or two changes.”
It remains to be seen how he will fare at Old Trafford against Bayern Munich who are undoubtedby the toughest opponents the English side will face this season. While Liverpool and Manchester City have come and made mockery of the Old Trafford, will United be able to hold off the German giants? We shall find out on Tuesday.
