Bayern Munich president Franz Beckenbauer has advised Manchester United transfer target Toni Kroos against maintaining his high wage demands.
The 24-year-old is widely considered among the most talented and complete young midfielder in Europe at the moment, but his future at Bayern Munich has come under a lot of speculations recently. Kroos, who graduated from Bayernai??i??s youth academy, was promoted to the first team back in the 2007-08 season, but he really established his place in the starting line-up back in the 2009-10 season and he hasnai??i??t looked back since.
But since the arrival of Pep Guardiola at the German club, his future at Allianz Arena has been questioned a lot. Kroosai??i?? current contract with Bayern Munich expires in 2015, and talks of a new contract have been reported as well. It is believed that Kroos is demanding a huge pay-rise and Bayern are yet to meet his demands.
Meanwhile, reports in English media have suggested that Manchester United are keen on signing the midfielder in the summer and are willing triple his current wage. David Moyes is expected to spend heavily in the summer as they look to rebuild their squad after enduring a fairly disappointing season so far. They have already made the huge signing of Juan Mata from Chelsea and have tied down Wayne Rooney to a massive new contract, United are expected to build a team around these two key players. Bayern sporting director Matthias Sammer has indicated that the Bavarian club will do their best to retain Toni Kroos and have rubbished speculations regarding his future.
