Laurent Blanc has confirmed that he is about to attend a discussion with PSG regarding the possibility of taking over as the new manager.
The French club are yet to confirm his appointment, but Sports network beIN Sport (a network jointing owned by Nasser Al-Khelaifiai??i??s Qatari Sports investments) tweeted that an agreement has already has been reached between both the parties.
“Agreement reached today with Laurent Blanc who becomes the PSG coach” ai??i?? read a tweet from the official handle of Sports network beIN Sport.
But Blancai??i??s agent was quick to dismiss this and said that nothing has been confirmed yet. The 47-year-old has now cleared the air with an statement where he has disclosed that he will arrive at Paris on tomorrow in order to discuss the possibility of talking over at PSG with their officials. He also insisted that there is ai???good chanceai??i?? of him signing for the club.
“I’ll be in Paris on Monday for discussions. There is a good chance that I will sign.
“I cannot say much more for now, we’ll know more later in the week. PSG is a great opportunity, it is a very good club. This is very interesting.” ai??i?? Laurent Blanc told the press.
Laurent Blanc, who has had a successful career as a footballer, has previously managed Bordeaux for three years (2007-2010) and won the Ligue 1 title with them in the 2008-09 season. The 47-year-old then replaced Raymond Domenech as the manager of the French national team after a controversial exit from the 2010 World Cup. Blanc restored order in the national team during his reign after a chaotic spell under Domenech, but stepped down from that role after an quarter-final exit at the hands of Spain in the Euro 2012. Blanc certainly has the experience at this level and will inherit a strong squad at PSG upon his arrival.
